Alloying Nickel with Zinc creates a unique composition that will corrode much slower than zinc alone and much better than yellow zinc.

Installed these into the front on my 99XJ. I have a 4.5 inch 3-link long arm running 33. This kit is for universal mounting. If you plan to install in front of XJ/TJ you must purchase the separate kit for that. (CODE: 16378 XJ/TJ/ZJ Front Hydro Bump Mount) Also, note that the spanner wrench for the XJ kit is different than the wrench for the universal one and neither are included. I ended up trimming 4in off my old bumps measured from bottom up. I did not use any bump stop extensions and had the new hydro bumps screwed almost all the way in. It worked out perfect to where my max front compression sits. Also, make sure to install the tube and install hydro bumps before you do any welding. Cycle the suspension with no springs to verify. Then put your spring in and make sure they don't rub on the new bumps as well. The install itself is easy. Now on to the performance. Installation of these has created a new problem. I have to tie all my crap down in the back of the jeep. I can now hit bumps and holes at a much higher speed than before causing stuff to fly all over. LOL. No more cringe when you slam into things like with the old bumps. That metal to metal loud sound making your wonder if your front end just fell off is gone. Now it is controlled, smooth and so much better. Note that I am running the black tips to reduce any noise. There is noise, not a bad one just different than before. Driving down the road I don't notice it as it does not come close to hitting the bumps. When they hit you can hear a difference. Overall, I recommend installing them. Longevity to be determined still.
