2.5 Ton Aluminum Steering System

Iron Rock Off Road's 2.5 Ton Aluminum Steering Systems are engineered for Jeep owners who refuse to compromise, combining massive components, premium materials, and innovative design into a steering system that's built to withstand years of hard trail abuse.
At the core of every system are 2" diameter solid bars machined from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. This aerospace-grade material offers an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio while providing a unique advantage over conventional steel steering. Rather than permanently bending after a hard impact, 7075 aluminum has an impressive ability to flex and return to its original shape, helping your steering stay true even after encounters with unforgiving rocks.
Each kit is equipped with Trail Titan™ 1.25" shank, forged tie rod ends. These oversized steering ends are designed specifically for heavy-duty off-road use, delivering exceptional strength, durability, and precise steering response both on and off the trail.
Unlike traditional steering systems that require loosening jam nuts and removing components for adjustments, our steering links feature double-adjustable dogleg ends with right-hand threads on one side and left-hand threads on the other. Simply rotate the link to make fast, accurate alignment adjustments while everything remains installed on the vehicle.
NO JAM NUTS! We've also done away with traditional jam nuts entirely. Each steering bar incorporates a robust integrated clamping system that securely locks adjustments in place while providing a cleaner appearance and making future adjustments quick and hassle-free.
The bars are finished in a semi-polished natural aluminum finish, giving the system a premium appearance that stands out while showcasing the quality of the material.

Optional High-Steer Compatibility
Many applications are designed to accommodate an Over-the-Knuckle (OTK) tie rod or Drag Link Flip (DLF) configuration for improved steering geometry and additional ground clearance.
Note: OTK and DLF installations require modification of the steering knuckles using the appropriate tapered reamer, inserts, or aftermarket high-steer knuckles. While we package your steering with care, it's possible the aluminum links may have small imperfections out of the box due to the softer metal material. These have no negative effect on installation or performance of the product.
Wheel Clearance
Because of the increased diameter and strength of these steering components, the following is required:
- Wheels with 4.75" backspacing or less, or
- Minimum 1.25" wheel spacers
